Additional information | The guest talk was engaging. It was organised as part of the partnership between the School of Foreign Studies, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an. China and the Centre of Language and Linguistics at Canterbury Christ Church University. The following is feedback from Professor Zhang Yi, founder of Comparative Linguistics research group at Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an. China: 'Alexandra and Amina gave us an inspiring lecture. More than 50 graduates as well as faculties attend the seminar. We did not have any advertisement, just poste the information in our school. They have done a great job, overcoming the difficulties by using the new platform.' Feedback from James Zhang, International Partnerships and Development at Canterbury Christ Church University: 'Thanks for delivering the guest talk for the NPU students which I have received much positive feedback from students and colleagues. Also, as mentioned by ZHANG Yi, all the candidates are voluntary participation which really surprised me as well, where all the students are in the Chinese New Year holiday.' |
