Between the tides: The coastal communities of Walpole Bay
Shepherdson, K., Ball, R. and Vincent, S. 2017. Between the tides: The coastal communities of Walpole Bay.
|Creators||Shepherdson, K., Ball, R. and Vincent, S.|
In June 2017 Rob Ball and Karen Shepherdson were commissioned to make photographic portraits as part of Cliftonville’s Walpole Bay Tidal Pool’s 80th anniversary celebrations. These photographs contribute to both Ball and Shepherdson’s practice based research, considering how diverse coastal communities make use of democratic, free seaside spaces and how the medium of photography can contribute to innovative, positive (re)presention, (re)interpretation and (re)evaluation of previously disregarded coastal sites.
