| Abstract | Written evidence submitted by Canterbury Christ Church University (IPC0059) to the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee on the Israeli-Palestine conflict. Dr Rintoul-Hynes is a Senior Lecturer in Soil Science and Environmental Management at Canterbury Christ Church University. Her research focuses on the environmental impacts of war. She previously investigated soil degradation as a result of military activity during World War I and is currently working with colleagues at Princeton University and National Academy of the Sciences of Ukraine to quantify environmental pollution and soil fertility loss in Ukraine and other modern conflicts. Her group are also investigating opportunities for remediation of contaminated land post-war |
