Abstract

This small-scale action research project evaluates the findings of an intervention focused on developing Graphic Design students’ understanding of their module marking rubric and assessment criteria through learning by doing teaching methods. The detail of this intervention is explained and reflected upon with the analysis of the outcomes. The project concludes that through such an intervention, improvements to student grades and understanding can be made, and that this improvement may be exchangeable with other modules on the BA Hons Graphic Design course.
