Abstract | Section A is a review of existing empirical research that has investigated variables associated with medication adherence in adolescents and young adults (9-25 years) with a chronic liver disease. Section B describes an empirical project using cross-sectional and longitudinal archival data from a young adult liver service (16-25 years), which investigated whether demographic and clinical variables, mood and illness perceptions were associated with and/or predictive of medication adherence in adolescents and young adults with a range of chronic liver disease diagnoses. |
