Abstract

This chapter will provide an overview of the methods used for semiotic analysis, and steps researchers can use to validate their semiotic interpretation (e.g., triangulation). It will show how semiotic analysis can be used to evaluate the effect of socio-cultural values on image interpretation and representation of financial events through images.
