Description | Introduction: ADAPT is a European Interreg research project involving 16 partners in the south of England and the north of France, including the Rouen Normandy University Hospital. Working together are occupational therapists, engineers and training professionals, this project has three objectives: -The development of training for health professionals on new technologies to assist people in Disability situation;-The development of an Intelligent Electric Wheelchair (FREI) (with driving assistance, detection, monitoring and avoidance of obstacles;-The development of a virtual reality FRE driving simulator. Oral communication will focus on the training part, in which the IFE of the Rouen Normandy University Hospital is involved. Method: Following a literature review and analysis of the training needs of health professionals in France and England about technical aids (AT), a training plan has been established. We will detail the place and missions of the occupational therapist in the development of this plan. Results: Six units are being developed, five of which are in e-learning: General ATs; Understanding disability AT for mobility and posture; AT for communication; and Evidence Based Practice. Unit 6 will be face to face and will deal with the FREI and simulator developed. In this oral communication, a focus will certainly be on Unit 5, Evidence based practice, which encourages professionals to appraise their practice through research in the scientific literature. Discussion/conclusion: In order to assess the relevance of the units, they will be analysed using a post-training questionnaire completed by learners. The training can then be adjusted and monitored as needs change. The integration of units into initial IFE training will also be explored.
