Description | The programme for a concert given as part of the Canterbury Festival 2015, marking the centenary of the donation, to the city library, of the archive material formerly belonging to the Canterbury Catch Club: music, portraits, club records, a lithograph of 1826, and various artefacts. The evening recreated a club meeting, though in contemporary style: a mixture of vocal and orchestral items from a variety of sources were interspersed with some vocal pieces demanding audience participation - including the "Charter Glee" composed for the Club by its then Musical Director, Thomas Goodban. |
