Abstract | The reader is taken through an original approach to autoethnography that uses a written, painted and musical archive to trace both life history and the source of values. This process and the values discussions with colleagues that ensued from the research lead the writer to suggest that the opportunity to live values, form and deepen friendships and develop personal creativities are essential features of job satisfaction and the willingness to give more. |
