| Description | The workshop will begin with a brief overview of the international role galleries and museums have played in relation to wellbeing within a public health context. It will then present an synopsis of two recent research projects that focused on wellbeing and health; the first, a collaborative project involving Dulwich Picture Gallery, Nottingham Contemporary Gallery and Canterbury Christ Church University that addressed wellbeing among people with a dementia and their caregivers, and the second, at University College London Hospitals in association with UCL Museums, a large scale project that examined the impact of museum object handling on the wellbeing of hospital patients. The workshop will conclude with an interactive object handling session. |
