Description | Simon will describe how the use of electronic feedback software has been piloted at Canterbury Christ Church and the opportunities identified to improve the clarity, structure and amount of feedback provided for students. A number of systems have been investigated, including those which support criteria-related feedback by ‘plugging in’ assessment grids, as well as the ability to re-use and develop a bank of commonly used phrases. Most recently, the Turnitin GradeMark software was piloted across the University during 2009/10. Simon will discuss the responses from staff and students involved in early its use. He will also relate these to students' views across the sector as well as to published studies and projects exploring the area. He will then describe the development of University’s institution-wide support for use of Turnitin GradeMark from 2010/11 and future directions. |
