Abstract

This book is an international comparative analysis of religious colleges and universities affiliated to the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths. It uses documentation from over 250 higher education institutions – mission statements, governance documents, academic freedom statements, curriculum statements, and admission criteria. The study is firmly based on a series of questionnaires and interviews with academics in America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The focus of the study is on policy analysis using interdisciplinary methods to illustrate key issues.
